Supporting the Winter Olympics and Winter Sports: The 3rd Duolunnuoer "Yongchun Cup" Ice Dragon Boat Race Kicks Off

 This event served as the qualifying competition for the ice dragon boat race of the upcoming 2nd Winter Games, attracting 265 teams with over 3,000 athletes.



In January 2018, the 1st World Ice Dragon Boat Championships were held in Duolun, Inner Mongolia. Twenty-seven teams from 23 countries and

 regions participated, including China, the United States, Germany, and Finland. Major news agencies worldwide and nearly 100 media outlets in 

China conducted comprehensive publicity and coverage of the event.


Recently, the Preparatory Committee of the 14th National Winter Games of China officially confirmed that the ice dragon boat race of the 14th National

 Winter Games in 2020 will be held in Duolun County, Xilingol League, known as "China's Natural Oxygen Bar".


As an essential place for promoting and developing ice dragon boat sports in China, Duolun has accompanied the growth of ice dragon boat sports and 

witnessed its vigorous development.

• January 12th - 14th: 2019 Duolunnuoer 3rd Ice Dragon Boat Race ("Yongchun Cup")


• January 18th - 22nd: 2019 Inner Mongolia 2nd Winter Games and Xilingol League 3rd Ice Dragon Boat Race ("Changtong Cup")


• January 22nd - 26th: Test Event for the Ice Dragon Boat Competition of the 14th National Winter Games


• February 16th: Unveiling Ceremony for the 1-Year Countdown to the 14th National Winter Games and Top 20 Competition of the 2019 Duolunnuoer

During the 2018-2019 winter season, ice dragon boat races were held one after another in various parts of northern China, becoming the most charming 

sports event with high participation and attention that winter. As the official organization for ice dragon boat sports, the International Ice Dragon Boat 

Federation (IIDBF) will continue to spare no effort in promoting the standardized development of ice dragon boat sports.
