Following the 2016 International Ice Dragon Boat Series – Budapest, Hungary Stop, this marked another professional ice dragon boat event in Europe, featuring
a larger scale, more participants, and a more spectacular scene. Dozens of professional teams from over ten countries and regions, including Germany, Italy, Russia,
and Canada, gathered to compete against each other. After gaining massive popularity in North America, ice dragon boat racing has again sparked a craze in Europe.
The event coincided with the Chinese Spring Festival; people were enthusiastic about this sport and its traditional Chinese cultural elements. Ice shards splashed
around as the ice picks rhythmically hit the surface. The sounds of drums, chants, and cheers filled the air, while ice dragon boats raced neck and neck, staging a
professional competition full of speed and passion on the ice. The glory and joy brought by the sport became the passionate mood on the field, igniting the competitive
enthusiasm of the participants in the cold winter.
The tournament was held at a venue with a historic castle backdrop in the city center. To enhance the competition experience, the venue was equipped with
dazzling, colorful lights, creating a more spectacular scene and bringing a more dynamic experience to both participants and spectators. It also attracted many
citizens who came to watch the race with their families and friends, making the scene extremely lively and the stands packed with people.

active preparation for the 2019 First World Ice Dragon Boat Club Championships, ice dragon boat racing has officially become a professional competitive
sport and grown popular in the international winter sports field. As a New Year celebration event of the International Ice Dragon Boat Federation (IIDBF)
for the 2017-2018 season, this year’s stop has become an annual classic of ice dragon boat events.
Meanwhile, artificial ice dragon boat racing venues and the innovative idea of holding night events with dazzling colored lights provide a reference for more host locations
that lack natural ice sources to hold ice dragon boat races. Ice dragon boat racing thrives in North America, Europe, and Asia. In the future, driven by the enthusiasm of
more participants and enthusiasts, it will continue to build and expand globally!
